Whats up folks! I was just having a conversation where I mentioned one of my upcoming projects and realized that it has been sometime since I did an update so here we go. . .
The last few months have been pretty heavy for me. . . life and music. . .

A few months back I decided to move to Minneapolis which will be happening at the end of the month. This decision put a few things in motion for me. I had a lot of loose ends and a few of my final small goals to accomplish, one of them being my goal of having my most successful show at Acoustic Cafe before leaving. I set the date for April 25th and put together a nice full band with the incredible talent from around these parts (featuring members of Cosmic Jibaros, Phenetiks, Electric Mayhem, Mas Latin Jazz Group, The Darian Cunning Band, Big Moon, Chelsea Genzano and Seme Rock the human beatbox). The show was a ridiculous success with my largest attendance I have ever had at the place where I truly built my performance. I also had the opportunity of rocking a set with The Protege that night doing tracks from his EP that I produced (his excitement of the loads of people singing the chorus to "Nothing" will forever stay in my mind), and we had awesome sets from Seme Rock the human beatbox and Darian Cunning, two cats I have rocked with more times then anyone could count. Just beautiful. . . which leads me to one of the four projects. . . the DVD.
I have been talking about doing a DVD since back in August when I filmed a weekend of gigs with Seme Rock and DJ Halo. I had been waiting for another gig to put on blast and feature in it. This past gig April 25th was the perfect accompaniment to the Larry's gig opening for Louis Logic. It will give heads the two kinds of performances I have done around these parts (with DJ Halo and with live musicians) in the two spots I love rocking at the most. It will also feature a few bonus clips and possibly a short interview about the contents. Editing has already been done on the first show and will continue this sunday in a looooooooong ass session for the April 25th show. I will be sure to let you know where I am at with the development.
The next project I have been heavily grinding away on and beating my brain away for is actually something I can't fully mention entirely. I can say it is an EP and I could tell you that I will have two of my newest songs on it "The Sound" and "Inspired By A Conversation Last Night". Really digging it, my vocals are practically wrapped up on it and we are entering the mixing stage. . . stay tuned.
The third project is the often mentioned
Indie Rappers Do It For Gas Money 2 featuring production from myself, Dirt E. Dutch, JK1 the supernova, and Defnyshn and features Seme Rock, JK1, and Roc Doogie of Phenetiks. I would say I am about one song away from happiness on this.
The final project occupying my thoughts is
The Complete Collected Poems Of Maya Angelou. This also is about one song away from happiness. All of the songs on this being inspired by my poetry or free-writing rants, I need to dig into my writings and find something just right for this. The majority of the production on this is by my self with one track produced by Defnyshn. I am excessively happy with the lyrics on this. Abstract, double and triple-meanings, thick metaphors, and streams of consciousness. The songs currently are: Free write #1, "Sleep Deprivation and The Artist", "Forever With The Moon", "The Seasons Through Pen's Ascension", Free write #2, "What Was Once", "Afraid Of Heaven", and "Song For Liz". One song away. . .
But ummm. . . yeah. . . trying to wrap up most of the main work on these projects before June 1st. Release dates are still to come.
Peace and blessing for now. . .
much love y'all
Sketch tha cataclysm.
