The AFA needs YOU!!! (to vote... quickly)
That's right, folks, we need your support and, quickly, too. The AFA has been doing it's best to rep hip hop in CT to the fullest and now we are in the position to get some recognition for those efforts. AFA artists are nominees in 2 very important local music competitions. First, Quest the Rising Sun is representing in the KISS 95.7 In tha Cypher Battle of the Champions. He is competing against former In tha Cypher champions for a chance to perform live at the Webster Theatre in Hartford on August 29th. Vote for him here.
The AFA is also heavily represented in the Hartford Advocate Grand Band Slam. Nominated in the Best Hip Hop Artist category are Sketch tha Cataclysm, Workforce, Cee Reed and Phenetiks. You can vote for your favorite AFA artist by registering here. This is your chance to show people the kind of hip hop that you want to hear and that you support. Consider it practice for the November Presidential election!

Yup, me too O! I voted 5 times for quest for the 95.7 contest, 3 times for sketch, once for phenetiks, and once for workforce in the bandslam contest. It was kind of silly voting for more than one because the votes cancel each other out. Anyway, as a point of clarification the "Hartford Advocate Band Slam" is actually called the "Fairfield Weekly Band Slam". The website to vote at is www.fairfieldweekly.com/bandslam
